+CARAVELLE By Bulova
Caravelle watches are often known as Caravelle by Bulova - Bulova was founded in 1875 as J Bulova Company by Joseph Bulova and in 1923 started going by the name Bulova Watch Company, an American timepiece (clocks, watches and accessories) manufacturing company. Since the beginning, Bulova has been successfully growing and expanding.
"The visual style of his popular advertising made its watches popular with the American public."
Bulova established its operations in New York where it made innovations in watchmaking and developed a number of watchmaking tools. Bulova became one of the biggest luxury watch brands. Its horological innovations included the Accutron watch, first sold in 1960.
Two years later, in 1962, Bulova introduced the Caravelle line of jeweled watches, priced to compete with existing non-jeweled watches in the same market. By 1968, the Caravelle was the largest selling jeweled watch in America. Caravelle has always been an American brand offering good quality watches that are durable and stylish. These watches have been around for a while and they were very popular as newcomers in the market.
Caravelle watches are everyday timepieces that are practical and functional yet still stylish.
"To wear with style, to wear for life."

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men's watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women's watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size.
We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
Please review the photos and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
