"Aquamatic - Waterproof and an Automatic movement"
Today, we have this interesting timepiece, it is a vintage Croton Nivada Grenchen Aquamatic automatic wristwatch dated from the 1950s.
It is a self-winding watch powered by an original Croton - Nivada Grenchen automatic movement, caliber ETA 1256, 17 jewels, sweep second-hand, 18,000 A/h, 42 hours power reserve, Swiss made.
Nivada was one of the first Swiss brands to offer automatic watches, ETA 1256 (Etarotor) is the first automatic movement from ETA.
It still has the original champagne dial (showing age and patina) featuring luminous Arabic Numerals, luminous dots and silver hour markers, bold minute track and luminous matching hands. The dial is also signed with the Croton Nivada Grenchen name/logo on top and Aquamatic on the bottom.
Cased in a 31mm round case and fancy lug design, base metal and stainless steel. It comes on a brand new brown genuine leather waterproof two-piece strap.
This watch is still in good condition! Runs very well and keep great time!
